The ilegal trade of skins

Bellefontaine, Ohio - A gruesome scene was discovered in Logan County by Kyle Holcomb, an official of the Humane Society, on day 30, when he stumbled upon a mass of dead dogs, most of them skinned and dumped in the creek, located near a popular fishing spot near Bellefontaine. According to him, around the corner they felt a horrible stench.
Officials of the Humane Society and several volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene. According to Holcomb, the smell was so strong that they had to use special breathing apparatus to make the search for the remains. They found 14 dead dogs and a cat. Most animals were in a different stage of decomposition, all seemed to be young and most had been cut.
According to an official of the Humane Society, one of the dogs seemed to have been shot while others would have been euthanized. She said there have heard that an illegal trade in dog fur, especially Greyhounds. Found 7 Greyhounds on site, among other races. "The dogs were healthy, appeared to have good weight, the nails had been trimmed, they seemed like pet dogs."
The dogs were transported to the School of Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University, where they will determine the causes of deaths.
